It's not long until Ikea will be able to open its doors to eager customers again as all remaining non-essential shops can re-open on Monday.
The Cardiff store on Ferry Road has been closed since December, although it has been operating home deliveries as well as a click and collect service with thorough safety measures in place throughout lockdown.
March 22 marked the beginning of the phased reopening of non-essential retail in Wales and since then coronavirus restrictions have slowly started to ease.
Only essential stores have remained open throughout the pandemic but many shops deemed non-essential have been closed. Supermarkets were also banned from selling non-essential items but that restriction was lifted on March 22.
The Welsh Government say the public health situation - and vaccination rates - continue to improve. The pressure on hospitals is also easing. It means that the planned date that gyms and leisure centres can re-open has been brought forward, by a week, along with when people will be allowed to form an extended household - so meet family or friends indoors.
The Welsh Government confirmed on April 1 that all shops will be allowed to re-open from April 12.
So what are the new rules in place when Ikea can reopen?
Although you will be able to shop inside the store on April 12, in line with Government guidelines the restaurant will remain closed for now. Extensive measures are in place to help ensure the safety of customers and co-workers.
An Ikea spokesman told WalesOnline: "For a number of weeks we have been working towards ensuring our store is ready to safely welcome back customers.
"We look forward to reopening our Cardiff store on 12th April.
"With life at home more important than ever, our store will be ready to welcome customers back, with extensive measures in place to help ensure the safety of our customers and co-workers."
What are the opening hours?
According to the website, the opening hours for the Cardiff store will be 10am-8pm Monday-Saturday and 11am-5pm on Sunday.
