An artist's impression of the Review desk
The editorial department of Observer Towers consists of two floors. (The remaining parts of the skyscraper are full of war rooms the size of aircraft hangars with illuminated maps of the world over which shadowy figures plot world domination.)
On the lower floor lives the Review desk, whose deadline to make a sparkling new Observer Review is ... er, imminent. They look surprisingly calm. Jane Ferguson, Review Editor, (pictured centre) even had time send an email to the blog about what readers have to look forward to on Sunday.
We've gone from 20 broadsheet pages to 34 Berliner sizes ones all in full colour. The pace for this size of section is very different.
Here are a few changes you can expect this Sunday. Kathryn Flett our TV critic moves from the back to page 2; she is followed by Details - short topical newsy features.
The award winning novelist Ronan Bennett is writing a thriller 'Zugzwang' specially for the Observer Review. The first two chapters appear on Sunday. Each week it's illustrated by Marc Quinn (famous for his Alison Lapper plinth).
Rachel Cooke kicks off our new Arts Column (she will alternate with Mark Kermode in this slot) with a dazzlingly polemical piece on poetry. Other new elements include a Critics' Choice; Email the Experts - where readers get the chance to ask questions of our critics - and a Celebrity Shuffle where a notable name runs their iPod on shuffle and talks us through the tracks.
We also have two new critics starting this week, Miranda Sawyer on radio and Luke Jennings on dance.
No pictures yet. But we'll get you one as soon as they come off the presses.
