We developed a small girl-crush on Levi’s chief product officer Karyn Hillman when she came to the UK to launch the new range of women’s jeans with her look of: chambray shirt, ripped jeans, Isabel Marant boots. So when she told us that this season’s jeans should “release from the knee” – as in, move on from that vacuum-packed kneecap look you get in skinnies – we took note. The 712 Slim style – one of six from Levi’s 700 series that launches this week – is perfect for this. Also worth noting from the new line: the pocket positioning and ping-back fabric are designed with the perfect apple-bum shape in mind.
