It’s everything special about the seaside in a cone and we think everyone is going to want to try one.
The new Ice and Cream outlet opening on Weston-super-Mare Grand Pier will be serving up a very special treat - the Great British seaside cone.
Bosses at the pier have spent lockdown creating the new takeaway outlet and designed the treat to celebrate the best of the traditional British seaside.
The treat involves Mr Whippy Ice Cream and candy floss with customers also able to add their own seaside favourites such as rock, fudge, doughnuts, chocolate flakes and even popcorn as a topping. It'll be available when the Ice and Cream opens on April 1 for takeaway.
Weston Grand Pier manager Remy Haudecoeur said: “We wanted to create a treat which had everything the seaside has to offer in a cone.
“It’s two of the greatest seaside treats - ice cream and candy floss - and we expect it to be really popular.
"We know Mr Whippy ice cream is an iconic product for the seaside and this year we wanted to expand on that. Customers can create their own special treat with doughnuts, stick of rock, honeycomb and fudge to name a few.
“It’s new for Weston-super-Mare and something which is a bit of fun.”
As well as the Great British seaside cone punters can also try a clotted cream icecream - topped with hot chocolate.
If none of that appeals to your tastebuds the other food outlets at the front of the pier are due to open on April 12.
