The new 2020-21 Premier League ball and where to buy it online

A new Premier League ball has been unveiled and is set to be in use starting in this upcoming weekend's round of fixtures.

The 'Nike Flight' is said to be a throwback to the 'Total 90' ball that was first in use in the 2004-2005 season. It will be available on the Nike website from February 18.

Nike took over from Mitre at the turn of the century, starting with the Merlin.

New footballs designed by Nike are said to be 'designed for precision flight' with the moulded-groove design are said to be implemented to "reduce unexpected movement".

Early impressions of the new ball were generally good on social media, with most positive comments revolving the nostalgic memories it conjures.

One user, @ddmorro14, commented: "such Thierry Henry rolling in yet another sidefoot finish in Highbury vibes off this ball".

Three different designs of the ball will be available upon it's release - largely in order to combat any potential kit clashes. Each of them can be seen on this listing.

The new Nike Flight ball will be in use for the first time this Friday for Leeds United's game against Wolves live on BT Sport.
