The Nets now have an absurd amount of All-Star appearances with LaMarcus Aldridge addition

Wow. WOW. WOW!!!!!!!

It didn’t seem possible or even necessary for the Brooklyn Nets to add yet another current or former All-Star after they traded for James Harden and signed Blake Griffin after the Detroit Pistons bought him out.

But … nope.

LaMarcus Aldridge — who was bought out by the San Antonio Spurs — will sign with the Nets instead of the Miami Heat, as expected.

That’s right: the Nets have Harden, Griffin, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, DeAndre Jordan and now Aldridge, which would be an awe-inspiring starting lineup (and a reserve) even in 2021 with a few of those players not in their primes anymore. Which brings us to the stat that everyone’s pointing out on Saturday:

Forty-one All-Star appearances! This team was already good enough to contend. Now? They’ve got an even deeper bench and some insurance for any of their stars in case of further injury. Look out.
