The National book Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena on 2019 UK tour - here's when tickets go on sale and pre-sale news

Grammy-winning band The National will go back on the road later this year, playing Nottingham's biggest venue for the first time.

The jaunt around the UK will follow the release of their eighth studio album, I Am Easy To Find, out next Friday, May 17.

The Cincinnati rock outfit will be arriving at the Motorpoint Arena on Tuesday, December 10.

Tickets go on sale next week from Ticketmaster.

I Am Easy To Find is the follow-up to Sleep Well Beast, which earned the band a Grammy, as well as the No. 1 slot in the UK, Ireland, Portugal and Canada. It reached No. 2 in the US.

The National are Matt Berninger (vocals), plus brothers Aaron (guitar, bass, piano) and Bryce Dessner (guitar, piano), and Scott (bass, guitar) and Bryan Devendorf (drums).

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday, May 17.

Prices start at £44.20 (includes admin fee and charity donation).

There is a venue pre-sale from 10am on Wednesday, May 15 for anyone signed up to Motorpoint Arena mailing list.
