The National announce two shows at the O2 Academy Brixton: How to get tickets

The National have announced two shows at the O2 Academy Brixton for later this year.

The band will perform “two unique sets” at the venue on June 1 & 2, although it is not yet clear exactly what “unique” means.

The dates are relatively intimate for the group, who have performed at British Summer Time in Hyde Park and All Points East over recent years.

Tickets for the shows go on sale at 10am on Friday January 24. They can be purchased here.

The band announce the news on Twitter this morning, writing: "We're excited to announce a few 2020 performances... two nights only/ two unique sets."

Performances could draw heavily from their celebrated album High Violet, given it celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2020.

The band released their eighth and most recent album I Am Easy to Find in 2019. The band's last headline show in the capital came at the Royal Festival Hall last year.
