The nation's favourite Christmas films revealed in this week's UK film chart

For the third week in a row, Elf has topped the UK film chart.

The film, starring Will Ferrell, Zooey Deschanel and James Caan became an instant classic upon it's release in 2003 and drew in close to a quarter of a billion at the box office.

This week, Elf has been joined by a host of other Christmas favourites including Brian Henson's 1992 hit The Muppet Christmas Carol and the first two films in the Home Alone franchise.

While not strictly a Christmas film, Frozen 2 also makes it's way back into the Top 10. So too does the live-action remake of Mulan, currently available to stream on Disney+

Elsewhere, in the wide Top 40, other favourites from this time of year including It's A Wonderful Life and A Miracle on 34th Street make it to #13 and #14 respectively.
