The N’Golo Kante similarity that will convince Chelsea to beat Man United to £31m transfer

Aurelien Tchouameni continues to garner plenty of praise having been linked with Chelsea throughout the summer transfer window.

The French midfielder is highly-rated, having established himself as a key player for Monaco. He has also caught the eye on the international stage by scooping the Nations League title with France during the current international break.

That has triggered plenty of talk surrounding his future, with the latest reports suggesting that Real Madrid and Manchester United are the latest European giant to express their interest in the 21-year-old.

Valued at £31.5million by transfermarkt at the current time, it appears that there is set to be quite a battle for Tchouameni, in January or the following summer.

However, Chelsea should certainly push themselves to the front of the queue with useful parallels between the youngster and current Blues midfielder N’Golo Kante.

In an interview with Le Parisien, Tchouameni’s former coach at Bordeaux Jean-Luc Dogon said: “He prepares, analyses and anticipates everything.

“As a teenager, he was already looking to understand everything at training. He plans things and never leaves anything to chance. He’s a hard worker. He never panics and manages his emotions.”

That meticulous attention to detail when preparing for games is certainly something that is easily identifiable in Kante, too.

Gregory Dupont, Real Madrid’s former fitness coach, previously hailed the 30-year-old’s professionalism and approach to his career.

Talking to Marca, he said: "He is capable of repeating his efforts and recovers like nobody else, either in the course of the same game or between two.

"He has innate conditions, but how he lives also helps. He takes great care with food and hydration and he sleeps a lot."

There is no doubt that those levels of commitment have assisted the Chelsea man in reaching the peak of the professional game, having lifted the World Cup, Champions League, two Premier League titles and an FA Cup during an illustrious career to date.

It remains to be seen whether Tchouameni can reach the same levels, but the signs are certainly promising.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba was full of praise for his midfield partner after the Nations League final in Italy.

Talking to RTL, he said: “Very, very good. He’s not a boy, he’s a man.

“It’s a pleasure to play next to him. He brings a lot of energy. A lot of energy, extraordinary technical and physical quality. We wish him to play a lot more games and that I am always by his side.”

The praise then continues to flood in for Tchouameni and Chelsea should certainly be convinced of making their move sooner rather than later.
