The mystery of the taped off Chorlton post boxes

At least four post boxes in Chorlton has been taped up - and it's not clear why.

Three post boxes on Wilbraham Road, as well as one on Beech Road, have been shut with black and yellow tape.

A post shared to the Facebook group, Chorlton M21, highlighted the issue.

There's speculation it's because of a lost key.

One person said they'd 'overheard' parcel office staff saying a key had been misplaced.

Others don't believe that theory - theorising that there must be more than one key.

One outside the Post office, one at Four Banks, and one opposite the Spread Eagle have been taped off.
