The music fans who made a homeless man's night by taking him to a James Arthur gig

While walking towards the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Danni Evans and Steph Robins bumped into a homeless man.

The two friends were on their way to see James Arthur on Wednesday, March 4 when they spotted Jordan on the streets.

Danni and Steph, who are both from Swansea , started chatting to Jordan. He told the pair how much he loved James Arthur and and would give "anything to see him".

Danni had three tickets to the gig as a present from her boyfriend but as she ended up only taking Steph it meant she had a spare.

Instead of trying to sell the ticket on, Danni decided to offer it to Jordan.

Danni said: "We were walking to the Motorpoint Arena when Jordan asked us if we wanted doughnuts as he had some that he didn't want.

"We had a chat and a bit of a laugh and he was telling us that his favourite singer was James Arthur and he started singing his songs.

"I had a spare ticket as my boyfriend couldn't make it and as there were only two of us so I offered him a ticket.

"He couldn’t believe his eyes and asked if I was messing around."

The pair then waited for Jordan to pack up all of his belongings, which he stored at the venue, before making their way inside.

"Jordan said to us that we could leave him and that he would stand at the back but we asked him to come and sit by us.

"He was so happy that he got to see James Arthur. He had a little drink with us and, in his own words, said ‘this is like going to the moon, but further than the moon, this is my best day'.

"He tried to offer us a £5 Greggs voucher to say thank you but obviously we didn't take it," Danni added.

The 31-year-old said that she was glad that she could make him happy as he deserved a break.

"He told us about his life which has been difficult for him, all he wants is to work but unfortunately he can’t get a job without an address.

"He was amazing and such a kind person. When the gig ended he even offered to help staff put away the stage.

"It just felt awful leaving him afterwards, we were crying as we didn't want to leave him but there was nothing we could do

"I have got his number and he texted me the next day to say thanks," she said.
