
A Merewether property with an exclusive address, statement 1930s residence and an enviable two-storey pool house complete with guest accommodation is understood to have lasted only a matter of days before selling.
Robinson Property's Ben Robinson listed the property at 32 Janet Street with a guide of $4.3 million to $4.7 million last month.
A sale price was not disclosed but the Newcastle Herald believes it was secured for a sum towards the top of the guide.

Another Redhead property has joined the suburb's growing $2 million club. Mr Robinson confirmed the $2.1 million off-market sale of a four-bedroom house at 11 Ebsworth Street. The property had sold for $1.5 million in March of last year.
"They hadn't spent a dollar on it," Mr Robinson said. "A Sydney buyer bought it over the phone. They didn't even look at it."
A suburb record $2.725 million was set for Redhead in March with the auction sale of 17 Bentley Street. The beachside suburb joined the $2 million club in September last year when 7 Ocean Street exchanged for $2.438 million.
A Sydney buyer is understood to have bought a three-bedroom house at 4 Gurra Place, Charlestown via a FaceTime viewing. It was marketed by Belle Property Newcastle and sold for an undisclosed sum believed to be just under $1.1 million.
PRD Newcastle and Lake Macquarie's Jesse Wilton has sold a three-bedroom house at 11 Paul Street in Cardiff for $807,000.
