The Mrs Brown's Boys actors who are actually related in real life - from Brendan O'Carroll's kids to more distant relatives

Long time fans of the BBC's Mrs Brown's Boys may have no idea that a lot of the characters are actually related.

The hit show always dominates the TV again around the festive period with a Christmas and New Year's Special annually.

Both attracted a large audience in 2020 but how many people watching at home realised the cast are largely related?

Here's a rundown of the cast and who is related to who - we've listed them all out in terms of who is related to star Brendan O'Carroll who plays Agnes Brown;

Everyone's favourite troublemaker Buster Brady is played by Danny O'Carroll who is actually Brendan's real-life son.

Maria is Mrs Brown's daughter in the show and Fiona is actually Brendan's real-life daughter as well.

The man who plays Trevor, Martin Delany, is actually married to Maria Brown(above) which makes him Brendan's real-life son-in-law.

Amanda Woods - Betty Brown

Yet another relation, the woman who plays Betty is married to Danny O'Carroll who plays Buster.

This makes Amanda Brendan O'Carroll's daughter-in-law.

Jamie O'Carroll - Bono Brown

The on-screen grandson of Mrs Brown is also the off-screen grandson - Jamie is the son of Amanda and Danny who are both mentioned above.

Jennifer Gibney - Cathy Browne

Mrs Brown's on-screen daughter Cathy is actually his real-life wife funnily enough.

Jennifer Gibney and Brendan O'Carroll got married back in 2005 and have been together since.

Eilish O'Carroll - Winnie McGoogan

Brendan O'Carroll's real-life sister is Eilish is plays the very loveable Winnie McGoogan on-screen - she is of course Agnes' best friend in the show.
