Anyone worth their salt in EA FC 26 Ultimate Team already knows what everyone’s running. Those sweaty Premier League hybrids, La Liga pace abusers, and those brick-wall Serie A tanks everyone spams. However, there’s much more to it. Some of the underrated league theme teams are way better than you would expect, and that’s exactly what we’ll be discussing today.
These aren’t gimmicks; I’ve climbed to Gold 2 weekends running squads like this, facing PL beasts and living to tell. Today, we’re breaking down the three most slept-on: Primeira Liga, Eredivisie, and Belgian Pro League. Full squads, tactics, and why they crush off-meta.
Primeira Liga: Portugal’s Sneaky Powerhouse

Lately, I keep coming back to Primeira Liga. It’s slept on like no other, and you don’t need a crazy amount of coins like the top leagues, so prices stay chill if you’re smart with SBCs and objectives. There’s real value in the players. Rafa Silva’s Future Stars card is a menace: 95 pace and five-star skills. Palhinha holds it down in midfield, yet again strong and reliable without breaking the bank. At the back, you’ve got Pepe’s Winter Wildcard version, and Nuno Mendes simply overlaps like a machine on LB, bombing forward with 90+ pace and crossing
After playing around with a 4-3-3 flat, full league chem, no hybrids forced. Wingers like Jota and Otávio hugged the wings, Bruno Fernandes pulled the strings at CAM, and Darwin Núñez cleans everything up. Facing sweaty squads in Rivals feels competitive when their fullbacks couldn’t deal with the wide switches. Sure, there’s a true 99 chem icon missing, but the league links are so tight you barely notice. You get rotation depth too, like swapping in Ugarte at CDM or more options like Trincao RW or Dalot RB.
The only weakness? Striker finishing dips late-game if you’re not subbing, but at this price (whole squad under 120k), it’s the best underrated theme going. Custom tactics: 70 depth, high press, and balanced build-up turn it into a counter machine.
It just works, and it’s possibly the best underrated league theme team out there in EA FC 26.
Eredivisie: Dutch Fireworks On A Dime
Everyone seems to forget about Ajax and PSV’s young talents until they pop off. Eredivisie is slept on because it’s stacked with young players, and EA FC 26 gave them meta buffs. Think Brian Brobbey’s meta promo at ST (built like a tank, 84+ PAC), and Bergwijn out wide making defenders struggle.
In the midfield, De Jong’s base gold still holds up early on, and you can snag his Thunderstruck version for more dominance. Building a 4-2-3-1 narrow works well here, with Timber at RB pushing forward, Reijnders box-to-box, and Zirkzee keeps the offense on. You can get a full Dutch chemistry if you mix in van Djik, who links perfectly.
Belgian Pro League: Underrated Press Machine

The Jupiler Pro League (Belgian Pro League) is a criminally underrated EA FC 26 team. It has full league chem links that seamlessly integrate with Dutch nation hybrids, and it still falls within the dirt-cheap price range. The starter squad can be built for around 90k coins, and it has high work rates and stamina across the board. It’s perfect for pressing and for custom tactics that grind down PL tanks.
The 4-2-3-1 works like this: Mangala/Vanaken pivot locks midfield, Trossard stretches right, and Vertonghen anchors the backline. It can hybrid with De Bruyne for improved chemistry; moreover, press forced 18 turnovers vs La Liga squads, and counters ripped them apart. There’s also rotation depth with options like Doku LW rotations (pace demon). Tactics include 72 depth, high press/relentless, and direct passing to wear down opponents without meta picks.
