A study has revealed the public's favourite baby names as influenced by soaps such as EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
On-demand service UKTV Play has analysed ONS baby name data from 1996 to 2018 (the latest data available) and threads on Mumsnet to see which soap characters have had the most input on this year's baby names.
The study evaluated the top 10 names for gender-neutral, female and male babies in 2020, Liverpool Echo reports.

The results show some soap star trends alongside some more traditional names, with EastEnders being the most common soap appearing on the list.
