The most pleasant UK cities to live in have been revealed

A new study by Safestore has listed the most pleasant UK cities to live in.

The table takes in ten different metrics divided into four categories: charity, care, wellbeing and young people.

Cardiff is among the best cited cities in terms of charity shopping and events as well as parks.

Edinburgh is also a strong contestant, as the Scottish main city is also popular for its charity events, and its volunteering opportunities.

The other cities making the top of the list are Bristol and Leeds for attracting a lot of young people, as well as Birmingham, as Brummies are some of the happiest people in the country.

Leeds also has the highest proportion of charity shops, with Edinburgh having the most registered charities and events.

London remains first in terms of job opportunities.
