The most-played song of the decade has been revealed

The most-played songs of the decade have been revealed, with tracks by Pharrell Williams and Adele among those to claim the top spots.

PPL and BBC Radio 2 compiled the list of the top 10 songs of the 2010s based on playing figures from UK television and radio.

The top spot was taken by Pharrell Williams for his track “Happy”, which was originally written for the score of Despicable Me 2.

“Happy” spent four non-consecutive weeks at the top of the UK charts in 2013 and went on to win a Grammy.

Williams also makes an appearance in fourth place on the list, featuring on Daft Punk’s hit “Get Lucky”, along with Nile Rodgers.

Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep” made number two and “Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon 5 and featuring Christina Aguilera came in at number three.
