Nottingham is well known for its lively nightlife with dozens of pubs, bars and, of course, nightclubs attracting people from miles around.
The days of dancing the night away now feel like a long distant memory as the coronavirus pandemic has put more restrictions on our lives.
But who doesn't like to reminisce about those memorable moments in the likes of Palais, Astoria, Rock City and MGM.
We asked readers on the Nottinghamshire Live Facebook page the most memorable thing that happened to you in a Nottinghamshire night club - and you delivered.
Paul Heathcote commented: "Seeing Ozzy Osbourne at a free unannounced gig at Rock City!"
Kerry Birch said: "Falling off the podium in Moda and not feeling a thing until the next day. My coccyx hurt for weeks."
Teri McDonnall said: "Taking my shoes off because they hurt and going home without them. Didn’t realise till the next day!" We've all been there, Teri.
Janet Syson, meanwhile, had a brush with a celebrity during one eventful evening. She added: "Dancing next to this enormous man in Bables night club in the 1970s. He turned out to be Joe Bugner the boxer. He had the most enormous hands!"
Mollie Anne Hoult said: "Broke my ankle downstairs in Pryzm, they shut down the club!"
Kelly Bateman said: "Passed out in Jumping Jacks and got carried out by the bouncer! I was stone cold sober just had a funny turn."
Paul Johnson added: "Falling backwards down the stairs at Zhivago's while a little tipsy. Tried to play it cool and walked to the bar and ordered a pint as if I meant to do it all."
David Fairweather said: "I fell asleep in the toilets at Rock City and got locked in." Oh, David.
