The most hilarious Scottish tweets in response to Scotland's 2-0 loss to the Czech Republic

We don't really want to talk about it too much, but let's just say after nearly a 24-year wait, the Scotland's men's team finally made their return to a major tournament - and it didn't go exactly to plan.

Two spectacular goals from the Czech Republic's Patrick Schick, some dodgy defending and positioning from us, and an overall disappointing performance left it all feeling a bit so far, so Scotland.

Thankfully, there are still two games left to turn it around and the Tartan Army is known for its humour (and its patience), so there is still plenty to smile about.

And if you don't laugh, you'll cry, so leave it to us to make light of the situation with some hilarious tweets, here are some of our favourites.

I think we all had a bad feeling when we realised Che Adams and Kieran Tierney weren't in the starting line up.

At least boxing champ Josh Taylor is one Scot who knows how to win, so if he's being optimistic it could be a good sign.

Could be worse, we could have been this poor guy who stitched up by his mates.

As Scotland fans getting used to the idea of losing and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is probably a good idea, so that when the big wins come along we can actually savour them more.

To be fair, he pulled off some fantastic saves, it's just a pity he's got worse positioning sense than a broken sat nav.

Speaking of which.

It was that bad, even it even made the news in the US and it wasn't long before the memes started.

There is sadly a weird inevitability to it all.

Anyone else now think we'll go and heroically beat England before losing to a last-minute goal against Croatia, to go out? It would be the most typically Scottish thing to do. Here's hoping we win both.
