More than 100 people were killed on Welsh roads last year. According to Welsh Government figures there were 4,215 recorded crashes in that time.
WalesOnline has looked through all the crash data for 2018 and it reveals the full scale of accidents on our roads.

How many people died on Welsh roads?
Of the 4,215 recorded crashes in Wales last year there were:

1,028 of these were serious

103 people died

Of those deaths 17 were bikers and 19 were young people
What roads are the most dangerous?
You might expect a big motorway like the M4 to be one of the most dangerous roads but this is not the case.
Considering the sheer volume of people and traffic that travel on the road the amount of incidents is relatively small.
However there are other stretches of roads that do seem to have significant amounts of crashes.

There have been several incidents in Malpas Road near the tunnels. One included a tragic incident where a young person lost their life on a motorbike.
Brynmawr
There were three fatal crashes in Brynmawr last year.
