Merseyside is home to an array of watering holes, all offering different experiences.
One that stands apart from the rest is The Harbour in New Brighton - and it's all because it is so colourful.
The pub is decorated completely in brightly coloured murals.
Celebrating its eighth anniversary this weekend, The Harbour was taken over by landlady Rachel Johnson in 2011.
On the inside, The Harbour remains a traditional, old fashioned pub, but outside tells a completely different story.
The pub is decorated with a range of different designs, from a mermaid looking out to sea and a giant eye, to a wolf howling at the moon and a galleon ship.
Rachel said: “When I took over, the pub was called The Commercial and was very old fashioned and I wanted to keep it like that
“We redecorated but kept the old fashioned pub theme - they just seem to be disappearing and I didn’t want that.
“A few months ago Daniel Davis, who is heading up the regeneration project in New Brighton, approached me about adding some murals outside the pub.
“I chose to get the mermaid first, because it links in with the ones spread around New Brighton, and it looks amazing.”
The murals have been steadily appearing throughout the last several months, drawing visitors in from all over to take a look at the artwork.
“The response has been great, we get people stopping all the time to take pictures and selfies” added Rachel.
The Harbour serves a range of cask ales, lagers, spirits and ciders and even hosts pub quizzes and bingo nights throughout the week.
