We print-based media commentators used to have the territory to ourselves. But, as the US media critic, Bill Powers, points out, the net has changed all that. "Suddenly", he says, "there are about 10 million more media critics than there were 10 years ago." Powers, who writes for the National Journal, is unruffled. "I find that exciting... My philosophy is, the more, the merrier. And I actually think there are a lot of bloggers who are so good at it that I sort of wish they would be picked up by mainstream outlets and do both." I think he's right, and that goes for Britain too. (Via PR Week)
