The mood in the Manchester United dressing room following Norwich win

Scott McTominay says Manchester United are 'keeping their feet firmly on the ground' following their convincing win at Norwich on Sunday afternoon.

United recorded their first Premier League away win since February at the weekend as goals from McTominay, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial secured the three points.

Scotland international McTominay got the scoring underway as he netted a landmark goal for United in the first-half, as they became the first side in Premier League history to score 2,000 goals in the competition.

Victory for United was the perfect springboard heading into a week in which they face both Chelsea and Bournemouth away, and speaking after the win McTominay called for focus as they look to repeat another impressive performance on the road.

"It was a pleasing day and obviously hopefully we can continue to build upon this as well," McTominay told MUTV.

"It is a day which we are not going to get carried away with. It is a day which we need to keep our feet firmly on the ground, recover well and obviously go again on Wednesday. Rest, recovery, repeat.

"It is a tough week. Four away games in ten days. It is difficult, some players have played more minutes than others and you just have to keep going.

"It is very, very early days. It is a team that is just starting to find its feet in terms of goals now and obviously we are solid enough at the back.

"It is important for us to not get too carried away as well."
