Following late wins in their previous two Europa League qualifiers, Tottenham wrapped it up rather early on Thursday evening against Maccabi Haifa.
Making the ideal start with 90 seconds gone on the clock as Harry Kane converted Ben Davies' cross, there was only ever going to be one winner.
The Lilywhites were in total control against their Israeli opponents and went in 4-1 up at the break courtesy of a Lucas Moura header and Giovani Lo Celso's double.
That wasn't going to be the end of the scoring and the hosts added another three as Kane completed his hat-trick and Dele Alli converted a penalty after a brilliant bit of play in the box.
There was one man who deserved to get his name on the scoresheet but didn't, however.
Steven Bergwijn was in fine form in the 7-2 rout and did everything but score.
Only one of two players in the line up who started in Tuesday's Carabao Cup win over Chelsea, you couldn't tell the Dutch international had played 48 hours earlier as he was all action across his 90 minutes on the pitch.
Certainly keen to give his head coach something to think about having failed to start in their three Premier League games so far this season, the 22-year-old chalked up an assist after 20 minutes as Lucas converted his corner minutes after Tjaronn Chery had restored parity with a wonderful drive from distance.
A constant threat for the visitors with his pace and trickery, he really should have got his name on the scoresheet after bursting through the middle only to see his lofted effort saved by the goalkeeper.
Going close again not long after with a curling effort, Bergwijn demonstrated why he was brought to the club back in January in the 74th minute with a wonderful piece of play to tee Kane up for his hat-trick.
Putting a player on his backside with his excellent footwork, he then burst into the box and set the England captain up with the most delightful of reverse balls.
Tottenham fans on social media were raving about his bit of play and Jose Mourinho was also wowed as he gave the attacker the praise he deserved from the sidelines.
"Well done, Stevie" he shouted across the pitch to his player as he clapped loudly following his brilliant role in Kane's final strike of the game.
There was to be no goal for the ex-PSV man in the closing minutes but the goals will continue to flow for the team if Bergwijn can carry on the level of this performance going forward.
Definitely his best performance of the season so far as he looks to secure a regular place in the side, Mourinho was waxing lyrical about his man in his post-match press conference.
"Yes, and after 75 minutes or so he played against Chelsea he was really good," he told football.london when asked about the Dutchman's performance "The team needs that, playing against a team that was pressing so high and giving space in behind.
"He was very, very important. He didn't lose the ball. He dropped, he got the ball, he beat people. He was really good.
"I am sorry for him that he did not score. A very good performance. Physically he is getting better, he is getting sharper.
"We have incredible options in the attacking positions and very happy."
Mourinho has some player on his hands and the best thing is there's still so much more to come from the Spurs ace.
