As a police officer you never know what you're going to face on duty. Rounding up a flock of stray sheep, however, is not normally part of the job description.
But when a South Wales Police motorcycle cop encountered sheep running loose on a busy road near Pyle , the answer was obvious.
Keeping one eye on the traffic, the officer was able to use the bike to usher the escapees along the road and into a nearby field.
The whole thing was captured on video and shared on a police Twitter page.
It's not clear how the sheep came to be on the road - or whether shepherding is part of the training for all the force's bike cops.
