The moment a car ended up on its roof after crashing near Welsh beauty spot

A car landed on its roof after crashing near the Sugar Loaf mountain in Carmarthenshire.

The VW Golf blocked the A483 between Llandovery and Llanwrtyd Wells for over an hour on Sunday night following the incident.

The driver was the only person travelling in the car and was not injured as a result of the crash.

Sharing a photo of the grey car on its roof on social media, Dyfed-Powys Police's roads policing unit in Carmarthenshire said that the driver had been "caught out by the severity of the bend".

In a tweet the team stated: "Two Carmarthenshire traffic vehicles at scene in the Sugar Loaf with a vehicle which got caught out by the severity of the bend.

"Everyone is OK. Just waiting for recovery to attend."

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Carmarthenshire roads policing attended a one-vehicle road traffic collision near Sugar Loaf mountain on the A483 at around 9.10pm on Sunday, October 27.

"The grey VW Golf was on its roof blocking the road.

"The driver was the only occupant and was not injured.

"The vehicle was recovered at 10.30pm."
