Some Everton fans have expressed their disapproval with the impending appointment of Rafa Benitez as their club's next manager - leaving the majority of Toon fans baffled.
Many Newcastle United supporters feel Benitez has unfinished business on Tyneside and some hoped he would return as part of the Saudi-led takeover having left in May 2019.
But after returning back home to Liverpool following a stint in China, Benitez looks set to cross the Merseyside divide and take control of Everton.
As a former Liverpool manager, this hasn't gone down well with some but replacing Carlo Ancelotti was never going to be an easy task.
Slogans and other offensive messages have been seen printed or painted in various locations near Goodison Park - and even near Benitez's home, warning him not to take the job.
The reaction to the appointment has left Toon fans, although not everyone, reeling.
Asked to post a message for Everton fans via the Chronicle NUFC Facebook page, here are some of the posts.
'We'd have him back any day'
Peter Livingstone
It's your loss [the negative reaction] Everton. We would have him back at Newcastle in place of Bruce any day. Come back Rafa to the Toon.
'Show some respect'
John McArdle
Good luck to Rafa - be thankful and show respect, Everton.
'Give him a chance and see'
Michael Anderton
Rafa is a great manager - give him a chance and see. Wish he had come back to Newcastle United, lucky Everton!
Get off his back and give him a chance!
'Learn to forgive and forget'
Albert Louis
Learn to forgive and forget.
He is not perfect but has won more cups than most managers and would be the only one in Everton to have won cups.
Fans don't take risks, but the owner has put in a lot of money, so show respect to him for keeping this club alive and providing you with a club for you to be proud of and plans to build a better club for you. Be grateful and gracious.

However, the reaction from Newcastle United fans was not universally one of heartache that Benitez has got a new job in the Premier League - some criticising his time on Tyneside.
The critics of his say he played negative football while in charge of Newcastle, wasted money on the likes of Grant Hanley, Achraf Lazaar and Jesus Gamez whilst also achieving league positions similar to that of current head coach Steve Bruce.
Not every Toon fan is a Rafa fan.
'LOL'
Joey Comerford
Prepare for horrible defensive football lol.
'I don't blame them'
Neil Hunter
Don't blame you for being angry!! Enjoy his love of the club whilst using the owners as cover for the absolute dross he serves up. You have my full sympathy.
'Outdated style'
Farhan Sheikh
Outdated style, go for something new and fresh. Who cares if you win anything, play entertaining football.
'Accept boring football'
Micky Sullivan
Accept boring dire football and expect him to leave when someone offers him an even bigger pay check.
