The mixed Cardiff City ratings as Mark Harris provides injection of quality and centre-back has moment to forget in Preston win

Here's how the players rated during Cardiff's 2-1 extra-time win over Preston North End in the FA Cup third round clash at Cardiff City Stadium

Dillon Phillips 6

Didn't have a massive amount to do for much of the afternoon, but did OK when called upon. Distribution was a little rusty at times, but did well to spare Morrison's blushes after a wayward backpass in the first half.

Sean Morrison (c) 7

A hairy moment in the first half aside, a reasonably solid performance. A real aerial presence that will may well see him considered for league contention again.

Curtis Nelson 6

Put his foot in well defensively, and even contributed in the final third at times. Perhaps lucky not to give a penalty away late on, though.

Ciaron Brown 4

Just looked awkward throughout, although he did put in a couple of decent crosses. A brainless tackle to give away the penalty. Subbed.

Joel Bagan 5

Cannot fault the effort, but just looked a little awkward at times out wide. Some decent crosses and some nice link-up play aside, felt a little too predictable.

Perry Ng 5

Got stuck in nicely, but perhaps gave the ball away a little too often. Grew into the contest well enough, but end product proved elusive.

Marlon Pack 6

Nothing to take too much issue with. Added some steel to Cardiff's efforts in the middle, but otherwise a pretty quiet showing. Subbed.

Will Vaulks 6

Worked socks off in the middle of the park, but final ball and set-piece delivery was frustratingly poor.

Rubin Colwill 7

Looked a little shaky in possession at first, but gradually saw his influence grow as the game wore on with some nice touches. Subbed.

James Collins 5

Threw himself about and held up the ball reasonably well, but seldom looked a genuine goal threat. A missed opportunity following his heroics at the Hawthorns.

Isaak Davies 7

Initially looked well off the pace, and spurned a glorious opportunity shortly before opening the scoring. But deserves credit for what was a fine goal. Made some decent runs after the break too. Subbed at full-time.

Subs:

Mark Harris (on for Brown 69) - Denied by a fine save in extra-time. Made some superb runs and took his goal brilliantly. Changed the game 8 STAR MAN

Ryan Wintle (on for Colwill 75) - Showed some promising touches and played some decent passes in the middle 7

Kieran Evans (on for Davies 90) - Fairly decent showing. Was involved in build-up to winner. A pretty accomplished cameo 7

Tom Sang (on for Pack 100) - Earned an assist for the winner. Really good cameo on his first senior outing since October... 7
