The 'mind blowing' garlic peeling trick going viral on Twitter

We've all struggled to peel garlic in a way that's fuss-free under the heat of the kitchen, and as all budding chefs know, a dish isn't complete without it.

Some have splashed out on fancy crushers and grater kits - but after all of this time it looks like the 'best method' has finally been revealed.

Last night Twitter user Valentina Pestilene posted a 'mind blowing' video of a previously unseen way of cleanly pulling the cloves from the bulb.

Someone is captured peeling the garlic by stabbing it with a small knife before quickly pulling each clove from its skin.

The post said: "As someone who makes a lot of Korean food, this is the best method for getting garlic peeled!"

The video has been viewed more than 15 million times already.

In seconds we can see cloves are removed from the garlic bulb without even a tiny bit of the skin clinging on.

The online platform went into meltdown with users commenting on how they can't quite believe it and that they feel 'betrayed' for not being taught this earlier.

One person replied: "This has blown my mind", and another added: "Wtf, that's genius. Gonna have to give that a try."

Among the 118k retweets, model Chrissy Teigen echoed the words everyone was thinking with her simple message: "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT".

In reply to Teigen, users commented on how they've tried the method, which worked for them too.

Patrick Alba even laid out an Instagram worthy display of the completed cloves with a choice of knives that work best.

While it certainly worked for Patrick, we tried the hack at M.E.N HQ but ended up with a broken bunch of cloves stinking out the office.

Maybe practice makes perfect?
