The Mighty Boosh reunion: Noel Fielding teases return of cult comedy show

The Mighty Boosh might finally be returning.

New episodes of the surreal comedy series, created by Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt, haven't been broadcast since 2009, which prompted the former to fuel speculation of a reunion.

“There really wasn’t enough Boosh this decade,” he wrote, adding: “Let’s try and rectify that in the next one.”

The message led to an outpouring of love for the duo from stars including Shaun of the Dead director Edgar Wright, actor Jack Black and Great British Bake Off winner Rahul Mandal.

"I vote for more BOOSH," Wright wrote, with Rahul adding: "Can I help to make this coming year Boosh-ish?"

Actor Jack Black simply wrote: “Legends.”

Last decade, Fielding became co-host of GBBO alongside Sandi Toksvig,

Barrett previously teased a reunion in 2017, telling Radio Times: “It’s just time and schedules and getting together. We’re both sort of up for it, but we’re kind of doing our own thing at the moment.”

The Mighty Boosh started out as a stage show and radio series before being developed into a TV series by BBC Three in 2004.
