Earlier this week we revealed how you can make your own bread at home using a slow cooker.
The recipe went down a storm with you lot, and many of you have already managed to make some delicious loaves without leaving the house.
And now a new recipe has emerged for home cooks to give a go - this time it shows how to make bread in a microwave.
According to SurreyLive, you can whip up an entire loaf in just 90 seconds, and it doesn't involve any proving or baking.
The recipe can also be altered to make dairy-free and gluten-free versions. Eat your heart out, Paul Hollywood.
Here's how to make 90-second bread at home.
Microwave bread recipe
Ingredients (serves 1)
- 40g self raising flour
- 1 egg white
- 25g margarine
- Squeeze of lemon juice
- 1/3 tsp sugar
- 1/3 tsp baking powder
Method
- Get a large mug and whisk the egg until foamy
- Add baking powder and lemon juice then mix
- Add all of the other ingredients to the mug and mix until smooth and sticky
- Microwave for 90 seconds
- Slice and toast
Each mini loaf contains 344 calories.
To make the loaf gluten-free, simply use gluten-free flour instead of normal self raising flour.
To make the loaf dairy-free, use a margarine made with sunflower oil.
