For those of you hoping MetLife Stadium would find the black cat who invaded the field during Monday’s Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants tilt, perhaps so an NFL team can sign him or we can get more memes, there’s some bad news.
The cat is still at large.
A reminder: there are apparently stray cats who live at or near MetLife and earlier this week, the New York Post reported on an employee at the stadium who claimed he’s known as the “Cat Man” and who said there are “over 300 feral cats” at both the stadium and the nearby racetrack.
According to the latest update from the stadium — which said attempts to locate the cat hadn’t worked — that’s not true:
So we’ll all have to wait to meet the kitty that brought luck to the Cowboys.
