The Met Office forecast for where you live in Wales as cloud and rain nudge out the hot weather

While many of us have been basking in the warm weather over the last few weeks, sadly it's about to come to an end.

Spring, 2020, has been the sunniest in the UK since records began in 1929, and the second driest in Wales since 1862.

On Sunday, Wales experienced it's highest temperature on record this year at 28 degrees.

But after weeks of sunshine, temperatures now look set to plummet with wet conditions on the way.

The Met Office explained that on Wednesday morning it would be cloudy, with widespread rain across the country.

Emma Salter, Met Office meteorologist, said: "From about 10pm on Tuesday night we are going to start to see the rain in north Wales.

"When people wake up on Wednesday all over Wales will be cloudy and there will be widespread rain across the country.

"There might well be a few heavy bursts but they won't be enough to issue any warnings or hazards.

"It's also going to change the temperature, as tomorrow will be much more cloudy than it has been today.

"The rain should start to clear up in the later afternoon and into the evening and we will be left with fresher, cooler, breezier weather into the weekend.

"There will be showers on and off on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and Saturday afternoon looks like a wet one."
