The Met Office forecast for where you live as another weather warning is issued

Wales is bracing itself for a weekend of wet and overcast weather after several weather warnings were issued across the UK.

A Met Office yellow weather warning is currently in place over the south west, including south Wales, with 30mm of rain possible.

Forecasters are warning flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely across the affected area, with bus and train services also experiencing some disruption.

The warning was put in place at 12pm on Friday and will run until 6pm on Saturday.

Weather warnings have been issued covering every day from Saturday until Wednesday, November 27, for the same approximate area of south Wales.

These are all the weather warnings that have been issued:

  • Yellow warning for rain from 12pm Friday, November 22, until 6pm Saturday, November 23.
  • Yellow warning for rain from 4pm Sunday, November 24, until 10am Monday, November 25.
  • Yellow warning for rain from 12pm Tuesday, November 26, until 3pm Wednesday, November 27.

Flooding on the eastbound carriageway of the M4 at junction 43, Llandarcy, was already causing some delays near Neath Port Talbot on Saturday.

And a flood alert is in place in north and west Pembrokeshire.

It comes after news broke of a mother and her teenage daughter who died when a tree fell on their car in Gloustershire on Thursday evening.

The Met Office said Wales will see a wet start to the day on Saturday with rain, heavy at times, for many areas.

It said: "Through the afternoon the rain will begin to ease with drier and perhaps brighter spells in the west. Feeling chilly under persistent rain. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

"Rain will persist for eastern areas in the evening before moving northwards and clearing, leaving many areas largely dry overnight.

"A milder night with the chance of fog developing. Minimum temperature 5 °C."

Sunday is expected to be mainly dry with a few scattered showers.

The Met Office said: "A cloudy day with some brighter spells through the afternoon. Rain will move in overnight. Maximum temperature 11 °C."

Forecasters say the outlook for Monday is windy with showers, heavy at times and some drier, sunny spells.

Further heavy rain is forecast on Tuesday, clearing through the evening with drier, sunny spells on Wednesday, but rain is still possible.
