Harry Kane has described it as a pleasure to have played alongside Christian Eriksen at Tottenham for the past five years.
The Danish international completed a move from Spurs to Inter Milan yesterday, having been strongly linked with a transfer since last summer.
His future has been the subject of a transfer saga since last summer, after Eriksen told supporters he was looking for a "new challenge", although the midfielder stayed in north London, entering the final year of his contract at Tottenham.
There was a possibility that he could leave for free at the end of the season as a result of that, potentially leaving Spurs without any return on the player, who joined from Ajax in 2013.
However, Inter Milan have now completed a move for the Danish playmaker for a fee which is thought to be in the region of £16.9million.
Eriksen has spoken about his move with a message for Inter Milan fans following his switch, with the Dane expressing his delight at joining the San Siro side.
And Jan Vertonghen was the first Tottenham player to send a message following Eriksen's move, with the Belgian taking to social media to say that he would miss the midfielder.
Meanwhile, Harry Kane has also taken to Twitter to send a message to the former Tottenham star.
His tweet, which included four pictures of the pair together from Eriksen's time at Tottenham, read: "Been a pleasure to share the last five years with you @ChrisEriksen8. Good luck in your next chapter mate."
Eriksen made 305 appearances for Tottenham following his move from Ajax in August, 2013, and scored 69 times.
This season, he played 28 times for Spurs, scoring three goals.
