Looking for some weekend plans? You're in luck - the Meadows Festival is on today and tomorrow!
Founded in 1974, the Meadows Festival is a completely free and volunteer-run annual event featuring everything from live music, a dedicated kids' area, a dog show hosted by the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home , sports, performers and Edinburgh's largest outdoor market.
This year the festival has three music stages with a jam-packed programme of local acts to entertain visitors including the Totally Sound Futures Stage - all programmed, organised and managed by young people.
If you're coming with the whole family don't forget to check out Centre for Open Learning Kids Area - this year wee ones can try their hand at martial arts, kick back and listen to some storytelling and watch Mr Boom perform.
The Sports & Activities Area features demonstrations and games for the public to watch and join in with, including two league shinty matches (men's and women's).
It wouldn't be the Meadows Festival without Edinburgh's largest outdoor market, this year spanning 3 fields! This includes stalls selling merchandise, locally handcrafted items, food and drink vendors, community and information stalls.
