The McLaren 750S Is the Enthusiast's Supercar: Video Review

Supercars sure are neat. From Ferrari’s most extreme hybrid to a track-focused Pagani, there’s no shortage of high-powered, high-priced machines for affluent buyers to choose from. But there’s a reason why the McLaren 750S remains one of our favorites.

No, the 750S doesn’t come with a seven-figure price tag. In fact, its starting price of $343,000 is almost "reasonable" by supercar standards. It also doesn’t rely on a complex hybrid powertrain or a downsized engine. In an era dominated by electrification, the 750S sticks with a more traditional—and arguably more thrilling—formula.

Under the hood is a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8, a refined version of the engine that’s powered McLaren’s top-tier models for years. It produces 740 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque—more than enough to meet modern supercar expectations. Zero to 60 mph takes just 2.3 seconds, which is damn quick.

Power travels to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and the car tops out at an eye-watering 206 mph. Inside, the cabin features Alcantara trim and a vertically oriented 7.0-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay compatibility.

But ultimately, what sets the 750S apart is its driving experience. Watch our latest video review to see why we think this is the ultimate enthusiast’s supercar.
