The McBroken map tracking where McDonald’s ice cream machines are down

One 'genius' has shared a map which allows fast-food lovers to check in advance if McDonald's ice cream machines are working.

Appropriately named McBroken, the map updates every 10 minutes and operates all over the world.

Sharing his hack to Twitter, Germany-based Infrastructure Engineer @Rashiq claims that he places an order every minute worth nearly 14,000 pounds just to see which location is serving McFlurry's and ice cream sundaes.

However, he later clarified that no order gets actually executed and therefore no ice cream is wasted.

Unfortunately for Liverpudlians, there were quite a lot of places that had broken ice cream machines this morning.

The creator has said that the director of analytics at McDonald's reached out to him to say they love his idea. (McBroken)

Restaurants in city centre locations such as Clayton Square, St John’s and Ranelagh House, all marked as working.

Further afield spots like Vauxhall, Bootle, Hunts Cross Shopping Park and Edge Lane Retail Park were also serving ice cream.

Proving to be a massive hit with foodies, the tweet has now been retweeted more than 13 thousand times and liked by nearly 37 people.

Want to check save yourself the trip and heartbreak? Head over to the map to check if the ice cream machine is working beforehand.
