The Masked Singer viewers work out who's behind the masks

It was a runaway success when it arrived on our screens at the start of 2020, and The Masked Singer is back to have us all wondering 'who's that behind the mask?'

Comedian Mo Gilligan has joined Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross for a celebrity sleuth role in working out which celebrities are hidden behind an array of masked costumes as they showcase their singing talents.

Across eight shows 12 celebrities, wearing new flamboyant costumes, will be performing while concealing their identities as they attempt to stump viewers and the panel on the ITV singing show.

The first to go was Alien, who was revealed to be singer Sophie Ellis-Bexter.

The new line-up is hoping to follow in the footsteps of the first series winner Nicola Roberts, who performed as Queen Bee and triumphed over an eclectic and unexpected range of singers that included politician Alan Johnson, singers Kelis, Justin Hawkins, Skin, Jake Shears and Katherine Jenkins, footballer Teddy Sheringham, comedian Jason Manford and TV presenter Denise Van Outen.

And the judges and viewers at home have been busy on Boxing Day working out who the celebs are.
