The Masked Singer US to air on ITV and it's even crazier than the UK version

If you've got a TV talent show itch that needs scratching now Britain's Got Talent has gone off air for the foreseeable future, you're in luck as The Masked Singer is back on ITV this week.

Britain's Got Talent's audition shows ended on Saturday night but there is no word yet on when the live semi-finals and final will take place.

But there's some good news if you've become accustomed to watching a talent show on a weekend as The Masked Singer US will debut on ITV this Saturday, June 6.

The format was big in the US well before it crossed over the Atlantic to enthral viewers in the UK. The Masked Singer US premiered on FOX in America back in January 2019, a year ahead of its debut over here and if anything it's even crazier than the British show that became an unexpected ratings success for ITV at the start of this year.

Series 1 of The Masked Singer UK was won by Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts as Queen Bee and, while we won't spoil anything by revealing 'who's that behind the mask?' on the US show, the judges are Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke, with comedian Nick Cannon on hosting duties.

Celebrities will be disguised as the likes of a Butterfly, Egg, Thingamajig and Skeleton.

The first episode of The Masked Singer US will air this Saturday at 4.40pm.
