The Masked Singer's Unicorn identity given away by one word and viewers are convinced he's from Glee

Unicorn sparked a social media frenzy on Saturday, with one word having Masked Singer viewers convinced they know who he is.

If you still haven't watched The Masked Singer, ex-I'm A Celebrity finalist Joel Dommett leads the ITV show as host of the surreal and surprising guessing game that sees 12 famous faces compete to pull off the best performance, with their identity elaborately and imaginatively concealed behind costumes including a Bee, Tree, Chameleon and even an Octopus.

Another act is of course Unicorn and, puzzled fans of the show, having for weeks been adamant he is John Barrowman, are now convinced he is in fact someone from Glee after the word was dropped into a clue during his pre-performance VT.

Glee actor Kevin McHale had been a shoe-in for some viewers since the get-go, while others and panellist Rita Ora now think Unicorn is Matthew Morrison, Glee's very own Mr Schuster and others think it is fellow Glee actor Chris Colfer who played Kurt in the hit American series.

After his performance, one viewer tweeted "Unicorn is Chris Colfer, no doubt about it!!," and, echoing those sentiments, another tweeted "I'm leaning towards Chris Colfer for #unicorn. He has written for Glee. And there was the whole Britney and Unicorn thing on Glee," and another posting "Unicorn is 100% Chris Colfer. Get his books in at work and other half has pointed out there was a glee episode about his character called 'I am Unicorn'."

Kevin is still a safe bet for other viewers, while others now think it's Neil Patrick-Harris, who also appeared on Glee.
