The Masked Singer's Queen Bee drops huge bombshell that could rule out Jade Thirlwall theory

For the past few weeks Masked Singer viewers have been confident they'd narrowed Queen Bee's identity down to two people but a huge bombshell on Saturday's semi-final cast major doubt on it being one of them.

Since the start of the crazy new series at the start of last month, Queen Bee has been the act in disguise that has got everyone talking, as well as being a real contender to win the show. And people were convinced she was either Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud or Little Mix's Jade Thirlall.

Clues that could apply to both singers included winning a talent show at a young age and Little Mix song lyrics as Nicola has written for the X Factor winners'. But after a clue about 'can't speak French', made Girls Aloud fans even more adamant that Queen Bee is Nicola and then came the moment that all but confirmed she is the Liverpool lass.

At the end of each of the acts' second semi-final performance, the panel got to ask a question and the one put to Queen Bee was "are you a Geordie?" to which she replied "wye no man!" Given that many viewers have detected a strong Scouse lilt in Queen Bee's VTs, this seems to be the crucial clue that confirms her identity as Nicola, rather than Jade.

However, if we're being technical, Jade isn't actually a Geordie, the fact that she's from South Shields makes her a Sanddancer. But, given the fact that most people watching wouldn't know what that means, suggests she would probably refer to herself as a Geordie on the show if she was in fact Queen Bee

One viewer reacted: "Queen Bee literally just said she isn't Geordie so rules out Jade ," and another tweeted "all yous thinking it was jade behind queen bee but now we know it aint geordie." However, referencing Jade being a Sanddancer, another posted "if you’re from South Shields ala Perri from LM you’re not technically a Geordie you’re only one of them if you’re from Newcastle," and, in agreement, another tweeted: "Queen Bee is jade from little mix, shes not a geordie shes a sand dancer!!!"
