The Masked Singer's Hedgehog 'revealed' to be John Thomson after huge Cold Feet clue

The Masked Singer final was less than half an hour old when a shock new contender emerged to Hedgehog after a VERY revealing clue was dropped.

From the moment he stepped onto stage for the first time last month,  Michael Ball has been a name that's continued to crop up as a potential candidate for the spikey singer and there was a big nod to the theatre legend when Hedgehog said something about curling up "into a ball."

But people watching at home suggested this was a deliberate ploy to disguise his real identity. And the person most people playing the guessing game on Twitter thought he was during the semi-final last week was, comedian Jason Manford. And that could also be given away by one of the other clues when Hedgehog said "One night I can be playing to a really intimate crowd, the next 12,000 people."

However, the identity predictions changed again early on in Saturday's final when Hedgehog said "hope I don't get cold feet," in his VT and now Davina McCall and plenty of people at home now thought that meant it was Cold Feet actor John Thomson.

But it proved to be a curve ball as Hedgehog was revealed to be Jason Manford after he was unmasked at the end of the shiw, finishing second to Queen Bee.

Jonathan Ross, while also spotting the Cold Feet clue and throwing John's name into the mix, remained convinced Hedgehog was Michael Ball, while minutes earlier Queen Bee's identity was all but confirmed as Nicola Roberts when she dropped Nicola's solo album title into her VT.

The hot tips to be Octopus had been Katherine Jenkins had been Katherine Jenkins and Charlotte Church, but something she said when being questioned by the panel led to them believing it was someone from Emmerdale.
