Who is Hedgehog on The Masked Singer? Act finally unmasked in final and many viewers guessed right

After being accused of giving away false clues to throw people off the scent, the identity of The Masked Singer's identity has finally been revealed

The bonkers ITV show reached its conclusion on Saturday and Hedgehog was the first act to perform for the celebrity panel. Michael Ball was a name that's continued to crop up as a potential candidate for the spikey singer and there was a big nod to the theatre legend when Hedgehog said something about curling up "into a ball."

But people watching at home suggested this was a deliberate ploy to disguise his real identity. And the person most people playing the guessing game on Twitter thought he was was comedian Jason Manford. And that was given away by one of the other clues when Hedgehog said "One night I can be playing to a really intimate crowd, the next 12,000 people."

However, the identity predictions changed again on Saturday's final when Hedgehog said "hope I don't get cold feet," in his VT leading to Davina McCall and plenty of people at home thinking it was iCold Feet actor John Thomson.

But in the end, it was Jason Manford who was unmasked, meaning many viewers did guess right.

One fan tweeted "Hedgehog is definitely Jason Manford even though he keeps trying to throw everyone off by making clues to Michael Ball. It's him. End of. I would know Michael's voice anywhere, and it's not him, this is Jason. Doing well at throwing the panel off," and another "Hedgehog is Jason Manford without a doubt."

Others disagreed and felt the 'ball' comment, along with plenty of other hints over the past few weeks, do indeed suggest that Hedgehog is indeed Michael Ball. Other names thrown up as potentials on Twitter include Ricky Gervais, Alexander Armstrong and Tim Vine, while last week, guest judge Sharon Osborne said she thought he was Phillip Schofield.
