The Masked Singer fans are convinced they've seen Dragon somewhere before

Viewers were busy on Boxing Day night trying to work out the identity of 12 masked celebs on The Masked Singer - and they think one of them seems very familiar.

Fans of the ITV singing show are tasked, along with an all-star panel on the ITV show, with guessing who's behind the mask as a surreal line-up of bizarre characters sing.

The line-up includes a smiley sausage, a strutting badger and a majestic swan.

And viewers reckon they've seen the adorable green dragon on their telly before at Christmas.

They think the cute character is the spitting image of excitable Edgar the dragon from the Christmas 2019 John Lewis ad.

"Dragon is the dragon from last year’s John Lewis advert!" tweeted one viewer.

"The dragon is so cute. He looks like Edgar the Dragon," said another.

"The Dragon on @MakedSingerUK is Edgar, from last year's

@jlandpartners Christmas advert!" said another.

Another said: "Dragon is my favourite so far! Cute. John Lewis ad vibes."

And another asked: "That’s the dragon off last years John Lewis advert isn’t it?"

Guesses for Dragon's identity include Hollywood stars Danny DeVito and Mark Ruffalo, Ariana Grande's dancer and singer brother Frankie Grande, drag queen Courtney Act and American talk show host Ellen Degeneres.

The ITV singing competition hosted by Joel Dommett sees a panel of judges attempting to guess who is behind the wacky characters over eight episodes, and tonight the first secret singer was revealed.

There was a shock as Alien was unmasked as pop singer Sophie Ellis-Bexter.

Earlier this year the first series winner was Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts, who performed as Queen Bee.

Other performers included politician Alan Johnson, singers Kelis, Justin Hawkins, Skin, Jake Shears and Katherine Jenkins, footballer Teddy Sheringham, comedian Jason Manford and TV presenter Denise Van Outen.
