The Masked Singer stars revealed as expert gives verdict on who's behind elaborate costumes

The three Masked Singers left with their heads intact on Saturday will make it through to next week’s grand final on ITV.

Speculation over who is inside the elaborate costumes has reached fever pitch this week, with new names being added to the favourites.

In Saturday’s show a double elimination will see the five remaining singers battle it out to be part of the trio making it through to the very end.

While many viewers seem sure that Sausage is Loose Women’s Stacey Solomon, others are convinced it’s actually actress Sheridan Smith.

Outside of these two favourites, other contenders include documentary maker Stacey Dooley, pop-star turned actor Billie Piper and singer Joss Stone.

Robin could be unmasked this weekend (ITV)

JLS’s Aston Merrygold is the clear favourite to be Robin, but other viewers think it’s Olly Murs behind the beak.

Peter Andre has also been suggested, along with Diversity dancer Perry Kiely, while Westlife’s Nicky Byrne has also dropped hints that it might be him (which almost certainly means that it isn’t).

Harlequin could be bowing out of the show (ITV)

Harlequin has impressed everyone with her strong vocals, and many are absolutely sure that UK artist Gabrielle is responsible for them.

Also in the frame, according to suggestions made by fans, are Rebecca Ferguson and Beverley Knight, plus M People’s Heather Small along with US singer Tracy Chapman.

Dragon could be leaving the series (ITV)

Dragon has survived several sing offs – but will he or she survive tonight’s semi final? Viewers are confused over the gender of this contestant, with guesses ranging from presenter Sue Perkins to Aussie drag artist Courtney Act and with Ian Watkins – best known as H from Steps – also in the running.

Badger could be the winner (ITV)

Badger has long been a favourite to win this series, but he is the one viewers seem least sure about in terms of identity.

American R&B singer Ne-Yo is a popular choice with fans, but others think it is Jamiriquai’s Jay Kay or Boyzone’s Ronan Keating behind the black and white fur.

Slightly more left-field is the notion that Strictly’s acid-tongued Craig Revel Horwood is Badger (but that might just be my sister.)

Matt Lucas joins the panel as a guest judge tonight, alongside Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan. Next week sees last year’s winner Nicola Roberts sitting alongside them.

Those unmasked so far this series were Sophie Ellis Bextor, Mel B, Martine McCutcheon, Glenn Hoddle, John Thomson, Morten Harket and Sir Lenny Henry.
