The Martin Lewis Money Show Live special episode bumped from ITV tonight and moved to new date

Fans hoping to get some top financial tips from money saving expert Martin Lewis on his live TV show tonight (Thursday, March 3) are to be disappointed. FA Cup football has meant the popular show has been bumped from the schedule and moved to next week.

Everton take on Boreham Wood at Goodison Park in the fifth round of the Cup which means The Martin Lewis Money Show Live has been moved from its regular Thursday evening slot. ITV says the final show in the series will be shown on Tuesday, March 8 at 8pm.

It will be an hour-long Cost of Living special when Martin will show how to ‘Steal a march on April’ price hikes. He will also share his tips on how to save cash by reducing the cost of household bills.

Lewis announced the switched date on twitter, telling his 1.3 million followers: "It's the final countdown (du du du duh). Next Tue a 1hr series finale of @itvMLshow LIVE cost of living crisis special.

"We've a big virtual wall for LOTS of people to join. If you want to join in (maybe even ask a Q) please email the team on martinlewis@itv.com. PS its on at 8pm."

People were quick to express concerns about rising prices. Antony Walsh said: "I don't think i can go on any longer, gas up, electric up, cost of living up."

Alison Underwood said: "We’ve just had letters come through of rent increasing now. Dread council tax alongside gas and elec the struggle is going to be real."

Harriet wrote: "I read that MPs will be getting a £2,000 pay rise each. Why? They earn enough & the monies could help all those that are in desperate need like myself. My energy prices have gone from £130.00 per month to over £337.00 per month. I can’t afford this nothing left for food."

It's not the first time that viewers' evenings have been turned upside because of the football. Soap fans were fuming on Tuesday when Emmerdale and EastEnders were taken off air for FA Cup action.
