The Marlins’ Isan Diaz hit his first MLB home run during his parents’ live TV interview

There probably aren’t many cooler moments for a big-league parent than witnessing their kid hit that first MLB home run.

For Marlins prospect Isan Diaz, he’ll get to see exactly how they reacted to the moment. And trust me: It won’t disappoint.

During Monday’s game between the Miami Marlins and New York Mets, Diaz stepped to the plate to face Jacob deGrom in the sixth inning — just as his parents were being interviewed for the Marlins broadcast.

But before Diaz’s parents could fully answer a question, the Marlins’ No. 5 prospect pulled a fastball deep over the right-field wall for his first career hit (and home run). His parents’ reaction was priceless.

All that screaming was from his father, Raul, and he didn’t stop for the entirety of Diaz’s trot around the bases.

That’s a moment that the Diaz family won’t ever forget, and luckily for them, they have it all on video.

That was live TV magic at its best.
