Dynamic duo: The Mandalorian and The Child (aka Baby Yoda) return for season two

Fans of the Star Wars spin-off have been desperate to see what’s in store for the titular bounty hunter and his teenie sidekick, and now they’re about to find out.
Here, we’ve rounded up what you need to know before diving into the first episode, from future release dates to confirmed cast members.

How can I watch The Mandalorian?
The show is only available to watch on the Disney+ streaming service. That means you’ll have to sign up to the £5.99 monthly subscription, or pay £59.99 for the whole year.
Is there a Disney+ free trial in the UK?
Sadly not. When it first launched, Disney+ used to offer a week-long free trial to entice prospective subscribers. Those days are long gone, though — the trial was scrapped shortly before Hamilton and Frozen 2 arrived on the service, so if you want to watch The Mandalorian, you’re going to have to pay up.
When is Season 2 Episode 1 released?
The first episode is out now, released on Friday October 30. Anyone hoping for a weekend binge, though, is going to have to change their plans, as only one episode will be dropping per week.
The next installment is set to arrive at 7am on Friday November 6, with the following episodes appearing at the same time every Friday until December 18.
Who’s in the cast?
A few names were confirmed in the run-up to the airing of the first episode. Pedro Pascal will reprise the title role of The Mandalorian, aka Din Djarin, while Carl Weathers plays Greef Karga. Gina Carano appears as Cara Dune, while Giancarlo Esposito as the villainous Moff Gideon.
Earlier in the year it was heavily hinted that Attack of the Clones star Temeura Morrison could make a cameo in The Mandalorian, suggesting his character Jango Fett would join in on the action. Is it true? You’ll have to watch the first episode to find out.
Is Baby Yoda in it?
Yes, indeed. The impossibly cute character, officially known as The Child, who won the internet’s collective heart when he appeared in season one, will play a central part in the second season.
